It's not just about smiling for the camera; it's about wearing the right stuff to make you look and feel fabulous!
For the Dapper Dudes:
1. Color Pop 🌈: Opt for solid, vibrant colors that complement your skin tone. Think deep blues, rich greens, or even a bold burgundy. Avoid busy patterns—let your face, not your shirt, do the talking.
2. Classic Collars 👔: A crisp, classic collared shirt can never go wrong. Whether you choose a tie or not, make sure your collar flatters your neck and face shape.
3. Blazer Blaze 🔥: A well-fitted blazer can turn you from "Hey, I'm John" to "Hello, I’m John, and I mean business!" Funky twist: try a blazer with a subtle pattern or a unique lining peeking out.
4. Quirky Accessories 🕶️: Add a hint of personality with cool accessories—think fun, patterned pocket squares or a unique wristwatch. Just enough to whisper, "I'm cool," without screaming, "I'm trying too hard."
For the Fabulous Ladies:
1. Bold and Beautiful Tops💃: Choose solid tops in vibrant shades like electric blue, emerald green or hot pink. It’s all about framing that stunning face of yours!
2. Neckline Magic ✨: V-necks, scoop necks, and boat necks can elongate your neck and draw attention to your face. Avoid turtle necks—they can make your head look like it’s floating.
3. Blazers and Jackets 🧥: Add a blazer or a fitted jacket for a polished look. Funky twist: Choose one with a pop of color or an interesting texture! Sequins, velvet, anyone?
4. Accessorize Wisely 👑: A statement necklace, dazzling earrings, or even a funky hair accessory can work wonders. Keep it balanced—choose one statement piece so it doesn’t steal the show.
General Tips for All:
- Fit is Lit 🔥: Ensure your clothes fit perfectly—not too tight, not too baggy. Tailored clothes enhance your silhouette and ooze confidence.
- Neutral Moods 🌟: If you're unsure, neutral colors like black, white, and gray are safe bets and can be jazzed up with a pop of accessories.
- No Logos, No Problems 🚫: Avoid clothing with logos or busy graphics; they can distract from your fantastic face.
Can’t go wrong with black! Create quick two look headshot by wearing black and some simple hoop earrings with a blazer on and off real quick to create two looks. You could get a little fun with a colored blazer here!

What does kabiki mean and why? Read on...
Kabiki. Cuh-bicky. kabiki studios.
I finally did it, I named my infatuation with my camera and it feels good.
I thought my first post was going to be this fabulous shoot of a gorgeous baby bump I just did recently, don’t worry it is in the works. Instead I’m going with an explanation or a behind the name story. I was a young girl when kabiki entered my life. I am one of four god bless my mom. My dad was always one of those live the good life jokesters and he loved to use nicknames to get our attention, it made it more fun. My eldest sister Samara nicknamed me bik, which soon turned into kabiki, and of course to make it even more fun I even got to be called kabikster. Samara had a few of her own nicknames my dad passed on to her such as hotdog or babs. The evolution continues my son Deagan calls her nene. Our brother Jim probably got the best ones; sportsfan and now we call him mij, Jim backwards. Amber whom is also older than me received the good ole mer and merber. Nicknames were a regular affair around our house and they still are. Deagan has quite a few himself; D, deagster, deags. I chose to brand my site with my nickname, frankly because everything else is taken. Millions of minds and I just jumped head first into the pool! I hope you enjoy my thoughts, photography and my life. Tomorrows a busy day for this girl so good night world. It’s official, I blog.
Now lets book that session, so I can blog all about it.
